~After School Program

HOURS OF OPERATION:

The After School Program operation is Monday-Friday 2:45-5:30 pm and every 4th Tuesday in the month 11:30 am-5:30 pm with observance of all major legal holidays throughout the school year.

The After School Program operation for the Academic School year dates are: August 5, 2024 to May 23, 2025

PRICES:

Application Process: Each student must be enrolled in the After School Program by a parent or legal guardian. Admission to the program will be granted upon a first- come, first-serve basis according to the remittance of enrollment application, registration fee, and the number of slots limited to each age group. If you request to unenroll your child(ren), to re-enroll for the same school term, you will have to complete the registration process and pay registration fee.

Financial policy: The registration fee is $45.00 (Non-refundable or Non-transferable) for all applicants. The weekly tuition is $55.00 (1 child/ or multiple children). Weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payments are due every Monday, on or in advance by 5:30 pm. Any payments made after Monday 5:30 pm will be assessed an additional $5.00 per day/ per child. Payment options are ZELLE, CASHAPP or PAYPAL. Accounts that are five days delinquent will result in termination of services. Tuition is based on a flat fee and will not be prorated for holidays and days not attended, including sick days, and vacation days and program closures due to inclement weather. No refunds will be made for absence of a child.

NOTE: Tuition will apply for any full week absences. (There are no free weeks and no partial payment fee.)

PICK UP POLICY:

Students will be picked up from Elementary and Middle Orangeburg Area Schools for students ages 4-12. Daily attendance will be taken. If it is necessary for a child to be absent, the parent/ legal guardian should call (803) 997-2309. The facility will close at 5:30 pm. The penalty for late pickup shall be $10.00 per child for the first 15 minutes after closing and $1.00 for every minute thereafter. Students will not be dismissed to anyone that is not listed on the authorization list. If any pick up changes, call the facility or send written notification about changes. Anyone picking up a child that is not the parent or legal guardian will be required to show proper identification.

DISCIPLINE POLICY:

The discipline policy is to facilitate a positive after school climate where each student feels safe and secure. Rules and regulations will be applied to the after school program and all students enrolled are expected to abide by them. (1st Discipline Action) If a student fails to abide by the rules, the parent will be informed and the student will get a warning. (2nd Discipline Action) A parent conference will be held and the student will be suspended from the program for one week. If the (3rd Discipline Action) occurs, the student will be expelled from the after school program and he or she may not enroll until the next school year.

HOMEWORK:

Students are responsible for knowing what they have for homework and bringing all of the necessary books and materials to the after school program. We recommend that each student utilize an agenda book to log homework assignments.

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

Weather conditions sometimes prevent operation of school. It is not always possible to determine this until the early morning hours. In such cases, tune in to the radio and television stations.

For possible emergency delay or early closing of school due to inclement weather, Distinctive Learning With Kids In Mind, LLC will follow the policy procedures of Orangeburg County School District.

If OCSD Schools are delayed, the after school will run as usual.
If OCSD schools are closed, the after school will be cancelled.
If OCSD close early, the after school will be cancelled.

Please plan an alternate means of transportation for your child if program is cancelled.

The facility will provide a nutritious snack daily.
